My Favorite Things

Every celiac has their favorite products. Here are some of mine and why.

Pamela's Pancake Mix - I really do love all of Pamela's products, but her pancake mix is the best. My daughter loves these pancakes over Bob's Red Mill. I love that there are 10 or so recipes on the big bag alone and for almost everything. I love using this as kind of my all purpose flour. I make cakes, cookies, biscuits, breads, and chicken nuggets all with the same mix.Their web sit is a great resource for more recipes.

Namaste Chocolate Cake Mix - I love this cake mix, it is so rich and chocolaty. I use this every year for my daughters birthday and it is the best. It is like eating Duncan Hines, only gluten free and maybe even better. I love all of the Namaste products that I've tried. I haven't tried them all yet, but I will. I have use their pasta kits, pizza crust, and brownie mixes. I love how all of these products are free of so many things that our on The List.

Bisquick Pizza Crust - This is the best pizza crust I have ever used. I love how it is yeast free and easy to make. Another favorite of my daughter (noticing a theme here?). It freezes well, so we can make up the whole box at once and freeze the rest. It's nice a thin and crisp, but not too crisp and it you want it fluffy, it can be fluffy; just put it on the stone or pizza pan thicker.

Earth Balance Vegan Spread - I love this spread. It is just like butter, only it's not. It's just as creamy and yummy as butter, and I love the fact that it melts well in the frying pan for eggs.

Sunbutter - This product doesn't leave any imagination behind or recipe for those who can't do peanuts. This product is great. I've made Muddy Buddies with it and sandwiches and even Thai "peanut" sauce with it. This is a staple in our house.

Bob's Red Mill Flours - I love these flours, so well made and clean. My favorite flours are:

  • Sorghum
  • Brown rice
  • Millet
  • Tapioca Starch
  • Corn Meal
My other favorite products of Bob's are:

  • Chia Seeds
  • Flax Seeds
Tempt Hempmilk -  This is by far the best milk substitute I've found. All the others are too sweet or lacking in nutrition. Hemp is just perfect. It isn't sweet, but whole some all around. I even put it on my daughter's cereal to make sure she gets the nutrition she needs, and I love that it is THC free.

Envirokidz Cereal - This is a great cereal for my daughter and I don't mind eating it too. I know it costs a bit, but I can often find it on sale at my Kroger store. I like their cereal bars too for great snacks on the go.

Kinnikinnick Cookies - Is the best gluten free cookie company out there. They are gluten and dairy free and affordable. I love the sandwich cookies and the animal cookies the best. It's great knowing my daughter will never not know the wonderfulness of the Oreo like sandwich cookie.

DeBoles Mac n Cheese - I make a box of their mac n cheese once a week for my daughter. Their other pasta products are great too and affordable compared to other brands.

Amy's Kitchen - I love these frozen meals. Her rice crust pizza with rice cheese is awesome. I also love her Indian and other ethnic frozen foods. I eat something of hers every week before I head to church for media duties. They are small, but filling.

Chebe Mixes - I love all of their mixes, so economic and easy to make and very allergy free. My favorites are their bread, pizza crust, and bread sticks.
